Pray for life is about you, in private, persistent, prayers with God. It’s not about a specific prayer or knowing what to pray because Ephesians 6:18 tells us to pray with various kinds of prayers and requests. It’s about knowing that we have a Father in heaven waiting to answer our requests, so His will, will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Think about it, even if you pray once a week, that’s 52 requests God will receive from you in a year, and in Luke 18:1-8, we learn the importance of persistent prayer and how swiftly God will act because of it.
When you join this movement, you get a sticker to place on the rear windshield of your car. That sticker will remind you to take a moment in the privacy of your own car and pray for life. In Matthew 6:5-6, Jesus tells us to pray in private, so our Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
The movement doesn’t stop there, that sticker may cause somebody else to pray for life. With your simple act of taking the step to get and display pray for life, you just increased the number of prayers God is going to receive. You’ve gone from joining a movement to becoming the movement. You’ve become the person that inspires another to PRAY FOR LIFE!
In our journey through life, there are moments when prayer is needed to overcome the challenges in our paths and those of others.
Below are some life moments you can pray into. The lady in Luke 18:1-8 went to the judge consistently with 6 simple words. “Grant me justice against my adversary.”
For we know in Ephesians 6:12, our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
We are seeking God to grant justice to those that are facing moments in their life where the adversary has come to steal, kill, and destroy their life. However, in John 10:10, Jesus has come so that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
God grant justice against the adversary for those going through….
Through your compassion they will be delivered.
For strength to overcome and find comfort in you.
That those you formed in the womb will be born healthy.
Hear their cries, release your Word and heal them.
Knowing you will make a way for them to overcome.
That they might find shelter through your mercy.
For the power of your hope to saturate them.
We ask that you set these captives free.
